According to British newspaper Financial Times, on November 4, Ukrainian hackers attacked computer payment system of the Royal Bank of Scotland (Great Britain). As a result the system of payments has been put out of action. Royal Bank of Scotland takes measures to renew the computer system of retail payments. This system served online 27 thousand companies of retail trade in more than 27 countries.  The bank serves plastic cards VISA, Mastercard, Diners è Mastercard

The bank officials have already apologized to clients, but yet have not estimated all losses caused by this hacker attack. According to preliminary estimation of experts, the system has broken down from overload of servers. They were spammed with false inquiries from computers situated in Ukraine. Administration considers such attack as the deliberate and unmotivated action of Ukrainian hackers. Bank management has hastened to convince clients (among which such known companies as Sony Music, Vodafone and Freeserve are) that hackers could not get access to information on them.
