Danish police said on Tuesday they arrested more than 100 people in a nationwide crackdown on child porn.
"We have arrested at least 100 on a charge of buying child porn via the Internet," police spokesman Soren Kragh Pedersen told Reuters.
Pedersen said the U.S. authorities had tipped off the police that Danish credit cards had been used to buy child porn in the United States.
Police refused to expose more detailed information on the arrested. However, it is known that police seized a great number of computers and hard disks. It is illegal to posess and store files containing child porn in this Scandinavian country.
