
Ukraine: a reliable partner in fighting cyberterrorism and money laundering

Ukraine is a reliable partner in fighting terrorism, including cyberterrorism, and money laundering, said representatives of the United States Treasury Department.
This topic was discussed at a working meeting by Sergey Gurzhiy, First Deputy Minister of Finance of Ukraine; Juan Zarate, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Terrorist Financing and Financial Crimes; William Beily, Deputy Director Financial Crimes Enforcement Network; Van Georgestad, Director Office of Technical Assistance in Department of the Treasury. The meeting was held in Washington D.C. on April 7, informs the Embassy of Ukraine in the USA.
American party noted that Ukraine achieved essential progress in the sphere of building national systems to fight money laundering.
Besides that, questions related to the impact of terrorism on internal policy were discussed at the meeting. Officials emphasized, a threat of terrorism, especially chemical, biological and cyberterrorism has a significant influence on the policy of national security.
