Do-it-yourself counterfeit production exposed

ZAPOROZHYE (CCRC) - Employees of State Tax Police in Zaporozhye region revealed illegal production of accessories for marking audio and video production. A 22-year-old young entrepreneur launched a do-it-yourself business in Melitopol, Zaporozhye region, Ukraine. Young man rented a house and installed high-capacity computer facilities there. He used it to replicate large lots of counterfeit marks and holographic elements for CDs and used it to produce counterfeit products.

According to preliminary information, the wheeler-dealer bought up counterfeit, pirated CDs in Moscow (Russia) and Kharkiv (Ukraine) and then packed up them himself. Then he delivered finished articles to sell in the stores of Melitopol. Officers of Tax Service seized 5 thousand of counterfeit CDs and more than 2 thousand marks and holographic elements. According to this fact, a criminal case was initiated applying to the article providing for up to 4 years of imprisonment.
