Hello my name is Dale I am a 40 year old divorced male. Just thought I would take the time to give you the info that was presented to me by this scam. She originally contacted me through an online dating (Yahoo Personals) service on 7/11/2006 her online name on this site was pixdecpolnui. She contacted me with the letter shown below and ask me to contact her at her private e-mail address ([email protected]) which I did and the letters that follow are what she sent. On 7/18/2006 I found out her full name being used is Mariya Ivanova and she is from Orlov, Russia. The dating service was contacted on 7/11/2006 as soon as I discovered she was from Russia and an investigation was started. No money was lost by me because I was cautious and did not send money to someone I did not know. This has been the 6th scammer that I have come in contact with. I am Steve from San Diego CA. I was first contacted by Natalya on 10 Mar 06, and I am still in contact with this person. Last letter was 6 May 06. First she contacts you and tells you about her and City of Koltas, Russia. Also asks you to reply only if you are interested in a serious relationship. Tells you how she saw your profile and likes what she reads. After 4 or 5 letters she now tells you her real ? name and that she was using a pseudonym to start. Then in the next couple of letters how much in love she is with you, cant live without you and wants to marry you. By letter 10-12 she wants to come to meet you but because of her small salary needs help to get to Moscow, and file for K-1 Visa, Visa of the bride. $410. But wants you to send the money in the name of her aunt who lives in Moscow, Natalia Rechkova. Then when in Moscow ?, she writes and says that her visa is rejected because she does not have plane tickets or money to travel with to enter this country. $1400-2200. I became very suspicious at this point and wrote her that in would be a couple of months to save that much for her. the last letter I received was on 6 May 06 saying she would go home and wait for me to send the money then would come to me.

My Name is Adam and I live in Florida, USA. I want to alert you of a scammer and I don't mind you using this information to help others. I do not want my name or email address listed anywhere. I ran an add on Yahoo personals and was contacted by an Olga from Archangelsk, Russia. I had never been in contact of any kind with a girl from Russia and was taken in for a few minutes by it but believed it to be "too good to be true" from the start. She followed the traditional scam path (as I have now learned about on the net). Sent me photos, several emails, never really answered my questions directly, and mentioned how much a computer costs in the 5th email. Pirogova, Luba (aka Tatyana Berezina, Elena Medyanik, Tatyana Tyumen, Elena, Elvira Muchametova)Olga Tregubova, 20-05 Abramova str., Arkhangelsk, Russia 163015. email: [email protected]. She rarely ever answered any direct questions.

My friend was online, met someone, who said he lived in Texas. Next thing, she got flowers, candy, fruit baskets, the whole story. HI, I have been contacted by Ariana. As experienced by others, I am told that I am love of her life. She has sent some preety pictures which look quite convincing. Emails are also convincing. The latest email address being used is [email protected].
The first thing I did when I got that email was to put the email address in google. Well, thankfully, this forum confirmed my fears.

I did think it was a scam all the way along but maybe to get money for implants - sorry cheap shot as she still is a good looking girl on myphotoalbum.

Beware of the following messages below, I realised this was a scam, by following the link to view professionally taken pictures. As well as someone claiming to be working in advertising in the UK would surly at least use a spell checker. Another give away is that the person wanted to correspond through an external address.
I've reported the scam to dating.direct.

I've just had Ariana email me from dateing driect too, claiming to be from Cambridge, saying that she wanted to get to know me. He/she whoever it may be, sends a like to veiw photograhps of her, up which appears a pretty girl.
I emailed her back before dawning on me that it could be a scam. Thankfully i did nothing but say thanks for contacting me and hope to hear back from her,. But thankfully having found this site i have now blockd her email address and reported her to dateing direct.

I just received a message from [email protected] too. Uses a profile on dating direct with the name 'Jane' (profile 3501020'). Its kind of an automatic response these days for me to google userid's for people who send me emails containing lots of broken english. This is not the first time this has happened. I have fun winding these people up anyway.

Very recently I have had contact to a lady who was from Cheboksary, too, who wrote me the same letter like number two of Tatyana Sergeeva, but she sent me totally different photos and she had a different name which was Natasha Machihina. It seems there is someone abusing photos of women and who is able to even use different names and possibly addresses. Unfortunately my mailbox broke down two weeks ago and it could not be restored so I cannot give you her email and address to verify with the one of Tatyana Sergeeva. Anyway, she tried to get money to keep up the communication through an internet cafe and I was lucky to not pay anything, as I have made very bad experiences with other ladies before. I wrote her that she should not have asked me for money and it would be better that we stop at that point. So the whole thing was harmless for me.

Been contacted by a 'girl' on UK dating site datingdirect, looked a bit fishy so I googled the email she gave me - it's [email protected] and it came up with this site. I've reported 'her' to the site.
I'm tempted to go along with it for a bit to wind 'em up...probably not a good idea?
