First cybersecurity program

Siouxland leaders are set to formally break ground this morning on a $6 million command center designed to enhance local responses to natural disasters and other emergencies.
As the region's first cybersecurity program, the Security Institute, to be built on the campus of Western Iowa Tech Community College, will also house real-life training in disaster and emergency management, .
Gary Brown, Woodbury County disaster and emergency services director, said the state-of-the-art project stands to establish Siouxland as a national leader in emergency preparedness.
