how to tell if a money order is legit?

2007-07-05 10:09:10 -
I have recently received an email from a gentleman in the UK claiming that I can received 10% if I cash money orders for him. He says he is a legitimate artist and has sold drawings in galleries, magazines, and the like. I emailed this guy stating that I was concerned that this was a scam and such. I wonder if this is legit.
Can you tell me if there is a person by the name of Mark Linker, CEO of Artworld, Inc.?

This sounds too good to be true and it probably is.

Thanks,
T

Dear Friend,
This is Mr. Robert Mack who contacted you late last year over the abandoned
estate of my late client that is worth $12.7M in cash. It's my pleasure
this day to inform you that I successfully retrieved the Estate (USD$12.7)
from the bank where it was deposited.

When I didn't hear from you after a long while about retrieving the abandoned
estate (USD$12.7) of late Mr. Wells. I then contacted another trustworthy
Partner (Mr. Clement Wells) from London, United Kingdom. He assisted me
to claim the FUND.

As I am writing this mail, the sum of US$11.5M is now in his bank account
in London. I have consequently joined Mr. Clement Wells in London to invest
my share of the money in juicy Estates and stocks. The address above is
my new addre ss in London including my telephone number.

However, I didn't forget your past efforts; at least I used your name to
start the Claims process with the bank. But you could not participate actively
because of circumstances beyond your control.Since it is no fault of yours
I hold nothing against you. Therefore, in appreciation of your effort I
have raised an International Bank Draft/ATM Card of US$1.200, 000.00 in
your favor as compensation to you for using your name during the Claims
process.
Now contact my Confidential Secretary Donald Martins on his e-mail address)
ask him to send the Bank Draft /ATM Card to you. Bear in mind that the money
is in Bank draft/ATM Card, not cash, so you need to send to him your full
name and address where the draft/ATM Card will be delivered to you, including
your cell phone number.

Finally, I left explicit instructions with my Confidential Secretary to
send the BANK DRAFT/ATM Card to you by Courier immediately you contact him.
So contact my Confidential Secretary immediately you receive this letter.
