SYMANTEC is leading the fight against cybercrime this week by unveiling its newly-launched Norton Internet Security 2011 and Norton AntiVirus 2011 suite at GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK.
The products have been carefully developed to exceed already industry-leading performance and protection benchmarks, according to Symantec’s Regional Director, Johnny Karam.
“These have been re-engineered with a focus on speed, performance and industry-leading protection,” explains Karam. “Symantec industry experts will be present at the stand to meet with customers and discuss the new-generation technology trends which promise to deliver huge benefit if correctly managed,” he adds.
Norton will use a ‘Black Market briefcase’ exhibit to show customers how cybercriminals operate and the tactics they use to steal from victims, including keystroke logging, phishing scams and search engine result poisoning together with illustrations of how identities can be bought and sold online.
The briefcase includes a collection of tools and materials that arm potential victims with facts, figures and most importantly methods to combat the growing network of cybercriminal organisations.
Symantec will also be discussing the Norton Online Family Report, which provides insights into the online experiences of children and the disconnects between parents and children with respect to their web behaviour.
