Fifteenth Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney Tom Tatum Jr. filed felony charges of computer child pornography against a Dardanelle man early last month.

According to an affidavit filed in Yell County Circuit Court, Tatum filed the charges after sheriff’s investigators obtained a warrant for the arrest of Gary M. Laymon, 27, Nov. 15 in connection with their receipt of a chat log in which Laymon, under the username “warhammer_1021,” allegedly conducted a sexually explicit online conversation with a 16-year-old female.

During the conversation, Laymon requested the girl send him a photo of her private area via e-mail, according to the affidavit, which noted the girl later told investigators the photo she sent was one she found online, and was not an actual image of herself.
