Sequels of hacking are 2 billion worth. Besides, a client, having suffered the loss would simply withdraw all his funds from the bank.
"The majority of thefts happen owing to unconcern", First Deputy Chief General Office, Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Konstantin Machbeli explains, "$100 disappeared from your card. You think you might have spent it and then forgotten. Many people just write their pin codes right on their cards. Our scammers often steal money from foreigners' cards. It takes a long time to get information from their abroad banks. Therefore we have such 15% crime detection of card frauds. However our banks begin to trust us more and more because together we are able to track down each machination and finally nab a thief."
