Interesting article, but a few points that have been missed. ZEturf are not the only online company to be accepting bets on French Horse Racing, Unibet (previously Mr bookmaker)has been doing so for some time, yet has not been taken to court?! Maybe because they are too big to intimidate? Furthermore, PMU being a Monopoly contravenes the concept of Free movement of goods within the EU.
ZEturf is a Maltese registered company, and therefore not subject to French Law.
The whole episode smacks of bully boy tactics. Surely whats good for the geese is good for the gander...
