I met someone online and we started talking on the phone not long after. Had great chemistry at least conversationally. Exchanged pictures. Both attracted to each other.
We live 1700 miles apart and were supposed to meet several times. Never came to fruition. There was always an excuse. Business, then Katrina, then his daughter came down with cancer, blah blah blah.
This last time he was supposed to come (for the holidays), I had a friend who works for the airlines check his supposed reservation, and he never even booked the flight, after telling me he had his boarding pass and everything!
After this happened, I had an attorney look into his supposed business as well and learned that he never owned it as he said he did, but only worked there. He was fired or left on bad terms. I spoke to the owner personally, but he refused to give me any details. Just that he left on bad terms. My online "boyfriend" told me he SOLD his business because he wanted to go be a captain of a boat offshore. Ummmm. Yeah right.
To top it off, I would correspond with his family now and then. Never on the phone, only through email. I looked through the headers of all the emails I received from them, and they all came from the same friggin' IP address!!! HIS!!! Of course, this guy denied everything. What an ass. I had it all in black and white and he still made me out to be the bad one.
What a psycho to create an entire family to talk to me. They might, in fact, exist, but they certainly never talked to me.
NEVER AGAIN!!! I should have gone with my gut.
