A 39-year-old Lansing man has been charged in connection with an Internet scam that authorities say might have defrauded hundreds of people across the country out of nearly $400,000.
Kendall Allen Brown, who is charged with possession of counterfeit documents, has confessed to being involved in the scheme, Ingham County Undersheriff Matthew Myers said Thursday. Brown faces up to five years in prison for the felony charge.
Brown, who was arrested during a traffic stop Tuesday, is being held at the Ingham County Jail on a $35,000 bond. He did not return a phone message left at the jail seeking comment.
