PUNE,INDIA: Frisking and fishing for cybercrime bytes might turn easier as a special search engine got ready to boot on the Web today. Asian School of Cyber Laws has launched a special search engine for cyber crime-related information and software.

This social project, funded by Asian School of Cyber Laws, will allow users to get relevant information in the fields of cyber crime, cybercrime investigation and cyber forensics and computer security.

It searches through a database of websites compiled and updated by subject experts.

“Conventional searches on Google for specialized areas like cybercrime investigation, forensics and security lead to a lot of irrelevant results. Sites that are optimized well (but have sub-standard content) come up earlier on searches. In this case, only Web pages which have been identified to contain good quality information are searched,” said Rohas Nagpal, president, Asian School of Cyber Law.
