I too got the mail about the the lottery that i am one of the winner of the microsoft lottery and i had won the 1,000,000.00 pounds. But when i told them to transfer the money they told me to transfer the money for the tax payement of the country of 700 euros. Then they will transfer the money to my account, but after cheking the details of the mail, i got to know that the system was fraud and they only want the money from our side & they never going to give the money.

Something called "YAHOO/MSN LOTTERY" has sent a client of mine a message, stating he has won not less than half a million pounds. It is most certainly just seriuous fraudery, but I should certainly appreciate if you reported this to the Metropolitan Police or may be to the Serious Fraud Division within Scotland Yard. What information else do you need to come forward ?
